What the women say...

I met the group of women of Bhokaha in their own office. They pay the rent for the room from the profits from the sale of the vegetable they grow organically.

Accomplishments in 2010

15 new 8-month Basic Literacy Classes

15 6-month Advanced Literacy Classes taken after completion of Basic Literacy Class

35 Remedial Classes Supplemental course taken after 2 year Basic and Advanced course is complete

2 new libraries implemented

New books added to the existing 9 libraries

6 women's groups involved in a 3-day health seminar

3 women's group taking a 3-day ecology course

6 groups continuing their ecology training with a further 7 days of study

8 women's groups involved in growing organic produce for consumption and sales

8 women's groups learning to grow mushrooms for commercial sales

4 new scholorship students added to our list of 18 young girls receiving ongoing financial assistance to continue their education.
